Here is a fun recipe that is sure to please everyone this holiday season from the littlest of children to the great grandparents!Â
Hazelnut Hot Chocolate
- 3 quarts 2% milk
- 3 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 – 13oz jar Nutella hazelnut spread
- 3 cups ground chocolate and cocoa ( I used ghirardelli)
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp iodized salt
- 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a heavy bottomed sauce pan and cook over medium low heat for 20 minutes. Be sure to whisk the mixture occasionally while cooking to ensure that all the ingredients combine. Do not boil. Serve warm with marshmallows or create a frosty treat by cooling the mixture and blending it with ice!
