The Perfect Baked Potato
- 6 Large Potatoes. (I prefer Yukon Gold, but any red potato works great, too)
- 1 egg white
- Your favorite flaked sea salt. (I prefer smoked or Hawaiian pink sea salt)
- Cracked Black Pepper
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Wash potatoes thoroughly with a vegetable brush under running water. Dry. Then using a standard fork poke each potato 15-20 times so that moisture can escape during cooking.
In small bowl, whip egg white until it forms a foam. Roll potatoes in egg foam and place on foil lined baking sheet. Sprinkle the potatoes on all sides with sea salt (1/2 to 1 tsp each) and cracked pepper. (about 1/8 tsp)
Bake 1 hour or until skin feels crisp but flesh beneath feels soft. Serve with your favorite olive oil, butter, or sour cream. Enjoy!
