Sweet and Spicy Rib Rub

September 02

Today marks the one year anniversary of the Everyday Gourmet blog!  Thank you everyone for reading!  Be sure to check out original post as well.  It’s an excellent recipe for a Vanilla Bourbon Pork with a Habenero Peach Chutney.

This weekend, I am planning on doing a little grilling/smoking and will hopefully have plenty of new recipes to share with you when I am done.  There is one recipe that I can share ahead of time though, and that is the recipe for a sweet and spicy rib rub!

Sweet and Spicy Rib Rub

  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 3 Tbsp chili powder
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp iodized salt
  • 1 Tbsp ground red pepper (cayenne)

Mix all indredients in a bowl and rub over ribs racks.  (this recipe makes enough for 3 pounds)  Wrap ribs in plastic and refrigerate for 24 hours.
